The Säid Business School at the University of Oxford was the perfect venue for the TEDxOxbridge 2015 event on Saturday 6th June.
This year’s theme was ‘Ideas to Impact’, focussing on how concepts can be simplified in order to aid the development and progression of an idea that can have real impact and cause potential changes. TEDx Oxbridge have highlighted the importance of encouraging theories as they believe,
“A revolutionary development sprouts from an embryo idea; a wonderful story starts from a bold idea; a memorable adventure begins with a unique idea.”
We were able to create a custom-built Screen Cast for the TEDxOxbridge event in Oxford, which was able to display the thoughts and feelings from the delegates at the event. Through Twitter and other social media networks, such as Instagram, guests were able to publish images & comments from their experiences throughout the day, including positive feedback regarding the key-note speakers presentations.
With roughly 15 key-note speakers lined up to inform the audience, the guests were treated to an action-packed afteoon with one delegate stating on Twitter,
“Absolutely blown away by the last six hours or so at #TEDxOxbridge – I’ve leat so much from so many clever people. Thanks to everyone!”
Positive exposure on social media attracts other individuals and increases the brand recognition. It is also a great way of gaining feedback, especially from the key-note speakers, who could see what the audience really thought about their presentations. The published content was moderated and curated before it was displayed on any of the screens, ensuring all the content was relevant, fresh and appropriate.
This is not foreign territory for NowSignage however, as Säid Business School currently operate a Screen Cast in permanent fixtures around their campus.
